Our team plays flat track roller derby. There are 3 levels of play.
Level 1 is for beginner skaters of any age. Players cannot use force to stop an opponent.
Level 2 players are allowed to make contact but cannot initiate with forceful contact.
Level 3 follows the traditional rules of play for flat track derby.
Coaches work diligently with players to increase their knowledge, confidence, and skill to ensure the highest level of safety possible.

Upskate New York Junior Roller Derby is a public, nonprofit, educational, and athletic organization, dedicated to fostering our youth’s self-confidence, skills, and positive attitudes. Our league provides youth of all genders and orientation with a supportive environment focused on building teamwork, healthy relationships, and athletic ability, while teaching our players sportsmanship and communication skills. We work with leagues both in and out of our state to foster national amateur roller derby sports competition.
